ONE WEEK - DSLR TUITION AT WIMBORNE’S WALFORD MILL

We run a very successful short course in photography at Walford Mill Craft Centre, in historic Wimborne.

Over six full day classes you’ll study everything from the basics through to advanced digital skills: covering four key genres inphotography. This exciting course is ideal for beginners and intermediate photographers of all ages.

There will be time for one-to-one tuition at a relaxed pace – we will provide theory with live workshops including studio lighting, landscapes and professional portraiture. The day trip is always brilliant fun, a super chance to learn about filtration too...

You don’t have to bring your own camera, but ideally, bring an SLR/DSLR.

Walford Mill is a beautiful 18th Century building, and provides a unique and refreshing environment to study in. The surroundings offer plenty of inspiration and provide the opportunity to practice new skills.

The whole course of six alternating Thursdays costs just £250 (no VAT). Places always fill quickly so advanced booking is strongly advised.

ONE-DAY - DSLR SHORT COURSE IN PHOTOGRAPHY

Our one day’s tuition is designed to get you excited and informed! Join us in the morning in our industrial studios for a lesson on the ‘must know’ basics that will get you off auto and onto manual!

Get to know your kit and learn key functions including shutter speeds to freeze or blur motion, and aperture control of depth of field for those stunning portraits out and about!

Drive with us to beautiful Compton Acres* in Poole - spend three hours capturing some stunning Japanese bridges, water fountains and gardens; putting in place some of the techniques you learnt that morning!

After the day’s shooting, we return to the studio to discuss your shots on a big screen – we offer helpful advice so you leave with a great confidence boost for you ongoing photography journey!

Evening - DSLR Studio Classes

Join our evening DSLR photography classes in Bournemouth for your chance to improve your studio skills today.

We run an 'open' evening where we open-up our main studio for demonstration and hands on shooting. We work with a live model for the evening - giving you the perfect opportunity to practice and experiment with your own equipment with on-hand advice.

Try out professional lighting kits, change the background and even add props to further your portraiture photography skills.

Get confident and benefit from advice on apertures, lens selection, flash sync and studio set-up!

Key Skills Gained
