Focus On Imaging 2012 – Flaghead Photographic
Feb 29, 2012

Once again we will be working for Flaghead Photographic at this years Focus on Imaging – ‘Europe’s biggest annual imaging show’ – held at Birmingham’s NEC from 4th – 7th March 2012.

All of the main camera manufacturers will be in attendance, including big boys Nikon and Canon both of whom will have the biggest presence – but we also look forward to seeing the Hasselblad and Phase One stands, as well as lens makers such as SigmaTamron and Samyang. That doesn’t even include the lighting guys with ProfotoBowens and Broncolor all in attendance, not to mention Hedler who will be with us on the Flaghead stand…

So we thought we’d give you a little infomation on Flaghead, where to find them/us over the course of the Focus and just some of the products we’ll have on show. Flaghead is owned and managed by Mr Hardy Haase (Poole, Dorset) and you can find his website here. Flaghead in their own words are: ‘Importers of quality products for discerning photographers’ – and once you look at the product range you’ll immediatly understand. Hardy distributes well selected products that do a job, and do it well – he is very passionate about what he sells and that comes across very quickly.

We will be with Hardy and the rest of the Flaghead team throughout all of Focus in Hall 9 stand G21 (behind ProFoto). Come and say hello – you can look at the focus floor plan here!

So let’s take a look at a few of the products we’ll be demonstrating and selling. First up we have a brand new product for the UK, it’s called the Grablet and is the most comfortable and practical way to hold your ipad. Supplied with hand strap and hand pad it’s a versatile way to get the most out of your Apple ipad.

You can see more info on the flaghead website or visit the grablet website http://www.thegrablet.com/ and check out their gallery!

Next we have Rayflash – selling both the Ringflash and the Rotator these are always popular and sell well – they are a really great way to use your hot-shoe flash and not spend out on a powered ringflash. We made some images for the launch of the Rotator last year – our images appeared in many national photography magazines.

If you want more info visit the Rayflash website http://www.ray-flash.com/ or take a look at our blog on Rayflash from 2011 http://www.dephotographic.com/blog/the-ray-flash-and-the-ray-flash-rotator/.

Hedler Ligting is another product we’ve blogged before, you can read about it here: http://www.dephotographic.com/blog/hedler-continuous-lighting/, or visit their website http://www.hedler.com/produkte/overview-e.html.

We really are a big fan of these and they are so easy to get enthusiastic about!

We also have the Trigger Smart which we have just completed an extensive blog on – http://www.dephotographic.com/blog/trigger-smart/ you can also take a look at the image gallery on the Flaghead website here.

This is a new product which we hope people get excited about, it’s going to be a tricky product to demonstrate during the show but we think we can pull it off!

That’s without mentioning QuantumCustom BracketsHonl, and Walkstool. Again all great products which you can find via Flaghead, or if you’re at the show swing by stand G21 and see for yourselves.

Our highlights of the 2011 show were IlfordEIZOManfrotto and Profoto so it’ll be interesting to see what this year brings.
